Goals and breakfast

Posted by: Jessica

Hey so my sister signed me up for myfitnesspal.com a few weeks ago. At first, I didn't want to join the sisterhood of the millions of women counting every calorie they put into their mouths. I enjoy eating. But when I got my new iPhone (graduation present!!), it was one of the first apps I downloaded. Now, I'm obsessed. Not with constantly calculating my daily caloric intake, but with the idea of setting goals. When I have a limit of 320 grams of carbs a day, and I consume only 100, I feel victorious.

The goals this one little app allows me to set and meet increases my self-esteem and my own self-efficacy.

I now make completely conscious decisions on what I eat and how much of it I eat. Thus providing me with a feeling of complete control over my body.

The breakfast I regularly log in:
1 slice of whole wheat bread with 2 tbsp of natural peanut butter, one cup of mixed fruit and a glass of low fat milk.

Try it for an early morning energy and protein boost after a workout!

How do you take control of your goals and body?
