Okay it's time. I was on such a great workout/get healthy kick for awhile. And if you remember, it culminated in me running my first ever 10k last year. Well its 10k time again and I haven't even started training. My schedule has gotten really hectic - I have a lot more responsibility at work; I've become a mentor to the sweetest little girl and My Guy has started to work evenings which means that after I get off work I need to pick up my son and head home for dinner, bathtime and bedtime. Then I'm usually back on the laptop for more work.
I haven't had much time at all for intentional exercise. The truth is, I have also not been prioritizing it. I was talking to my friend at http://adventuremecrazy.com/ and we agreed that after losing weight for awhile it's become easier to tell when we gain, even if its just a few pounds. I definitely feel it. So its time for me to lace up my running shoes and get back to my calorie counting ways. I joined a 12 week weight loss challenge at work so that should provide some motivation. I also really, really want to run a half marathon this year. So this week, I'm setting a tiny goal for myself....bring my running shoes to work and actually leave at 5 so I can run a quick mile before picking up my son. Gotta squeeze it in somewhere. Wish me luck.
